Can I receive phone calls on my primary number?

Quick answer

Yes. As long as your home SIM stays in the phone and switched on, calls to your usual number still reach you while the eSIM provides data.

What to set

• Keep the home line enabled and set as the default line for voice calls.
• Keep mobile data turned off on that line so it cannot cause data roaming charges.
• Set the eSiMAZE line for mobile data only.

What it costs

Incoming and outgoing calls on your home number are billed by your home operator at its roaming rates, which in some regions apply to calls you receive as well as ones you make. Check its charges before travelling. Your eSiMAZE package is not involved in these calls and is not charged for them.

Cheaper alternatives

• Take calls over WhatsApp, FaceTime, or a similar app using the eSIM data.

Important

If you switch the home line off entirely to avoid charges, you will not receive calls or SMS verification codes on that number.
