Using & Managing eSIMs
How do I remove an eSIM on an iPad?
Last updated: 2026-09-03
Quick answer
On iPad, eSIM plans live in Settings > Cellular Data. You can turn a plan off or delete it there - but deletion is permanent, so switch it off unless you are certain you are finished with it.
Turn the plan off
- Open Settings > Cellular Data.
- Tap the eSiMAZE plan.
- Turn off Turn On This Plan.
Delete the plan
- Open Settings > Cellular Data.
- Tap the eSiMAZE plan.
- Tap Remove Cellular Plan and confirm.
What to check first
- Confirm the package has actually expired. Remaining data is lost on deletion and cannot be recovered.
- Make sure you are removing the travel plan and not another cellular plan you still rely on.
- Remember that only cellular iPad models have this section at all.
Important
An eSIM removed from an iPad cannot be reinstalled there or moved to another device. If you want to use a package on a different device in future, buy a separate one for it.
