Can I reinstall an eSIM?

Last updated: 2026-09-03

Quick answer

Usually not. An eSIM installation code can normally be used only once, so once you delete the profile from your device the eSIM is gone - even if the package still had data and days remaining.

What this means in practice

  • Deleting an eSIM is not a troubleshooting step. It cannot be undone.
  • The same code cannot be used again on the same phone or on a different one.
  • Remaining data on a deleted eSIM is not automatically reissued.

What to do instead of deleting

Switch the line off. The profile stays on the device, consumes nothing, and can be switched back on whenever you need it:

  • iPhone and iPad: Settings > Cellular > select the line > Turn Off This Line.
  • Samsung Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager > select the line > switch it off.
  • Google Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > select the eSIM > turn Use SIM off.

Important

If you have already deleted an eSIM that still had data left, contact us with your order details before buying a replacement. We cannot promise recovery, but we would rather look at your specific order than have you pay twice unnecessarily.
