How do I activate the eSIM on an iPhone or iPad in Turkey?

Activation in Turkey follows the normal iPhone and iPad steps: install the eSIM while you have Wi-Fi, turn the line on, select it for mobile data, and apply the roaming setting your package specifies. Where your package allows it, install before you arrive.

Steps

1. Before travelling, install the eSIM over Wi-Fi via Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Add eSIM.
2. Label the line and set it as your Cellular Data line.
3. Apply the data roaming setting listed with your package for that line.
4. On arrival, allow a minute for the line to register, and toggle Airplane Mode for around 30 seconds if it does not.
5. If data still does not start, check the supported networks listed with your package and try selecting one manually.

Device registration in Turkey

Turkey operates a national device registration scheme for handsets used on Turkish networks, administered by the telecoms regulator. The rules, timescales, and fees are set by the Turkish authorities and change from time to time, so check the current official guidance before you travel rather than relying on figures quoted elsewhere.
